Delta has been manufacturing connectors since before Sputnik was launched in 1957, and today countless connectors are orbiting earth for a host of purposes. Military and civilian earth observational studies, communication, navigation, weather, and research. Delta recently designed a customized breakaway interface to assist the launch efforts providing signal for the active guidance technology and under extreme conditions. The launch went off without a hitch.
